Nursery School

The Jerusalem Lutheran Nursery School (JLNS) mission is to provide an exciting and enjoyable introduction to education for each and every child.  Staffed by dedicated, enthusiastic, certified teachers and experienced aides, our classes feature individual attention and emphasis on socialization.  We also prepare children for Kindergarten by exposing them to letters, sounds, numbers, story sequence, music, large and small motor activities, and other readiness skills.  

Nursery School Weekly Schedule and Tuition for the 2010 - 2011 school year

Class Times & Tuition:

Classes for three year olds

Children must be three (3) before November 30th, of the current year.

Number of Children in class - 12 (one teacher; one aide)

Emphasis on adjusting to new experiences and sharing.  Children experiment with art, music, water play, puppets, stories, show and tell, cooking, science and seasonal activities.  The playground and social hall are available for active play.  

Tuesday & Thursday 

9:00 am - 11:30 am 

Tuition: $125.00 per month

Classes for four year olds

Children must be four (4) before November 30th, of the current year or eligible for Kindergarten the following year.  

Number of Children in class - 16 (one teacher; one aide)

Emphasis on adjusting to new experiences, sharing and building confidence in oneself.  Children are encouraged to express themselves and respect the rights of others.  Areas explored include dramatic play, music, math, art, science, language arts, cooking, circle time and preparation for kindergarten.  

Monday, Wednesday & Friday

9:00 am - 11:30 am

Tuition: $160.00 per month

TK Transitional Kindergarten

Number of children in class is 15

The TK program is for older 4's and 5 year old children.  The curriculum focuses on social skills, beginning math, hand writing, sight words, phonics, and review of letters. 

Monday through Thursday

12:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Tuition: $205.00 per month

Please note that a nonrefundable $50 registration fee is due at the time of enrollment.
