Welcome to Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church
Jerusalem is the red brick church at the corner of of Church and Second Streets up the hill from the Schwenksville Fire Company and across the street from the Schwenksville Library Jerusalem has a rich heritage dating back to 1835 and has a diverse congregation of seniors, midlife and young families Jerusalem supports a wide variety of programs for our youth each year 3 to 5 teams of youth and adult leaders go to Applachia to repair, fix or build new to provide safer living conditions for those that can't provide for themselves. Jerusalem has a very active group of lay communion members that provide visitation and communion to our shut-ins and infirmed Jerusalem's food pantry serves in excess of 150 families each month Many of the surrounding churches and civic groups support this effort with donations of food, money, and volunteer time. In a typical month more than 250 to 300 hours of volunteer work is organized through the food pantry. The tasks involve receiving, shelving, dispensing stock, and administrative work to comply with state and federal regulations. <>
